My day starts early and I consume a lot of screen time throughout my day.

6:00 AM

I log into my computer at work and start my busy day with Outlook. I skim my emails. I simultaneously open Teams in case I have anyone sending me chats. These remain up all day on the work computer.

6:22 AM

I am building a job advertisement for the United Fund of Globe Miami and I want to take a look at the position requirements. United Fund of Globe-Miami, Inc. Application Manager https://ufglobemiami.submittable.com/submit

6:47 AM

I pop over to my volunteer management sight to see who has signed up for spots. SignUp.com is where I keep track of community volunteer efforts for our employees. http://www.signup.com

6:48 AM

I stop to take a quick peek at a tournament for our work to compete in and saw that we were outside of time frames and all spots were full. People at work like this one so that is unfortunate.

7:20 AM

I log in and check my assignments for the week and headed over to Canvas. https://weblogin.asu.edu/cas/login?service=https%3A%2F%2Fcanvas.asu.edu%2Flogin%2Fcas

I work on my current coursework for a couple of hours. I am currently juggling 3 – MCO 427 Misinformation and Society; MCO 494 Foundations of Storytelling; and MCO 294 Vocal Delivery and Presence. I spend some time working on things and then got back to my work assignments. My employer supports my education and that is a nice perk.

8:49 AM

I order a banner for our booth at the Arizona Mining Association Mining Day at the Capitol coming up next week from https://www.bannersrsovernight.com

9:20 AM

Check my canvas inbox emails.  https://www.canvas.asu.edu

9:23 AM

Google search for Superior Optimist Club and went to their Facebook page to find the dates of the fundraiser they are doing. https://www.facebook.com/SUPERIORAZOPTIMIST/ My employer wishes to be a sponsor for the event. I made a phone call to Jessica, the coordinator, and we are in for the event.

9:36 AM

I do a Google search for “Bugs Bunny Shut Up” meme because I want to send it to my husband, but I don’t send it. They just are not as good as I hoped. https://www.google.com/search?q=Bugs+bunny+meme+shud+up+-+Google+Searchwww.google.com&rlz=1C1CHBD_enUS1012US1015&oq=bug&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqBggAEEUYOzIGCAAQRRg7MhEIARBFGDkYQxixAxiABBiKBTIGCAIQRRg7MgYIAxAjGCcyBggEECMYJzIMCAUQABhDGIAEGIoFMgwIBhAAGEMYgAQYigUyCggHEAAYsQMYgAQyEwgIEC4YgwEYxwEYsQMY0QMYgAQyBwgJEAAYjwLSAQkyMjg2ajBqMTWoAgiwAgE&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

10:00 AM

I have a TEAMS meeting online with my Employee Services team where we discuss our upcoming week and any support we need.

11:56 AM

I register at https://www.cbssports.com at the request of a co-worker to play some brackets game –https://picks.cbssports.com/college-basketball/ncaatournament/bracket/pools/kbxw63b2geydcnbtg44do===

12:07 PM

Log into Canva and work on a social media post for my employer. https://www.canva.com

12:09 PM

Another Google search for “Apache Leap Mining Festival”, which is what my social media post was about. I was directed to the Superior Chamber of Commerce website –

1:04 PM

A good portion of my job in communications for a mine involves keeping an eye on our social media. I logged into the LinkedIn Capstone Copper Pinto Valley page for updates.

https://www.linkedin.com/company/96170999/admin/feed/posts/

1:07 PM

Move over to https://www.linkedin.com/company/resolution-copper/on LinkedIn just to see what the other mine is posting about. It is good to be up on our neighboring mine sites social media. It helps me gauge what I should or should not post about.

1:08 PM

I hop back on Canva https://www.canva.com to just take a look at anything that may be worthy of a repost somewhere. I didn’t see anything I wanted to use so I got out of there to take care of some other business.

1:13 PM

Search for an event that I needed to register our company and 4 golfers for participation in – the Mines Masters Golf Tournament for the South Dakota School of Mines and Technologycara.sdsmt.edu 16th annual mines masters – Google Search www.google.com https://cara.sdsmt.edu/AlumniEvents?cid=9&ceid=902&cerid=0&cdt=4%2F6%2F2024

1:56 PM

I went back to https://www.cbssports.com and selected my brackets with an auto pick option because I have no idea about any of these basketball teams or even what a bracket is. I put $5 into the community pot and will probably never see it again. It is important to participate in workplace gambling and be a team player.

2:14 PM

I log into Godaddy.com to work on the job website. https://www.godaddy.com My website – https://www.capstonecopperpintovalley.com It is a work in progress, but coming along nicely. I wish I had a clone of myself to keep up on all this web stuff.

2:19 PM

Clicked an email link for something from Amigos (a business partner) saying there were tickets left. I was happy because I thought it was for the Clay Pigeon shoot, but it was for baseball tickets at $150-$250 each to see spring training. And that was our discounted rate.

3:13 PM

I received an email that contained a press release from The Arizona Mining Association. I am not sure if you can see the file, but here is the link Chrome extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/https://files.constantcontact.com/26066045601/eedd9491-6805-4aaa-9439-4df713dcd8c2.pdf This is the event of the year for people working in natural resources and mining.

3:50 PM

Logged into LinkedIn to just take a peek for myself at my own page. My LinkedIn page is https://www.linkedin.com/in/jamieramsey/ It was uneventful.

3:52 PM

Just a quick look at our Sharepoint work page so that I can see the Community Calendar. I am trying to determine if it would be useful to have a quick access where employees can just click to see what is coming up or if I should leave the link in the sidebar.

https://capstoneminingcorp.sharepoint.com/sites/PintoValley/SitePages/Home.aspx

3:59 PM

Log off the work computer and head home. I do not stream music or use any internet on the ride home. We live remotely on mountain roads and don’t get any service most of the way. I go straight to the kitchen and start dinner once I arrive at home. After that, my husband put NCIS on

the tv from http://www.Netfix.com so I watch a little, but I am too busy for TV time.

6:20 PM

Log back into Canvas to do homework. I had to read a short story and post on the 5 W’s (who, what, where, when, and why). What a sad story about a man that lost his wife to cancer and is spending the rest of his days working graveyard shift at a toll booth in Florida to pay his debt.

6:28

PM logged into my Gmail https://www.gmail.com

 and read emails from https://www.Wigstudio1.com

I remained logged into my Canvas at the same time. So, I just bounced back over when I was done with my break.

6:35

I went back to Canvas and my Dashboard to get some work done and continued on Course Modules: MCO 494: Foundations of Storytelling (2024 Spring – B)canvas.asu.edu

6:48 PM

I logged onto www.citi.com to make a payment on my credit card. It is a card that earns me miles for travel. Usually this would be paid early in the day, but I was so busy that I forgot and have to do it now before I forget again.

7:08 PM

Jump back to Canvas to the discussion board to see what people were doing so I could figure out what I needed to do. There hasn’t been time for me to read all the materials and so I can’t post any discussion thread.

7:11 PM

USDA Rural Development Leadership Visit PACE Project, Announce Clean Energy & Electrical Infrastructure Investments in Rural Arizona  Gmail

I decide it is time to close up the laptop as soon as I finish up my email review. I read a news release.

7:13 PM

Still on my Gmail https://www.gmail.com reading email and see that Steve Trussel and 2 others have commented on something I posted on LinkedIn. I also reviewed emails from http://www.bannersovernight.com. I clicked over to LinkedIn to see what the post was that had the comments on it.

7:38 PM

I review my grades because I saw in my emails that I had a new grade posted and can’t sleep until I know what the grade is.

Grades for Jamie Ramsey: MCO 494: Foundations of Storytelling (2024 Spring – B)canvas.asu.edu

7:45 PM

I scroll https://www.thredup.com for the next full hour and place an order for a few items and a bag to send back with things I want to get rid of. This is a genius way to do thrifting.

It is past my bedtime! I need to go to sleep because 4:30 AM will get here before I know it. I have been on the computer almost all day!
